Nichiyu Lenormand Cards, 36 cards [Official Import] [Lenormand Red Owl] with Japanese instruction sheet, "The most standard red color in the Owl serie

This is the most standard red version of the Owl series in Europe and America, called Red Owl. Owl refers to an owl, which in Europe is a symbol of wisdom. In this deck, it's used on card number 12, "The Bird," and in the back design. A distinctive feature of Red Owl is that instead of playing cards, they feature poems written in English.

The deck consists of 36 cards, numbered sequentially from 1 to 36.

Each card has a meaning; for example, card number 1, "The Knight," signifies unexpected news arriving from afar. Often a good omen, it's a sign that the questioner's future will be bright.

There are two methods of divination: one using a single card and another using all 36 cards. The single-card method is easy if you understand the meaning of the card.

To use all 36 cards, first shuffle the cards well, then arrange all 36 cards from the top left to the bottom right.

If the person being read for is male, card number 28, "The Gentleman," is used as the key card; if female, card number 29, "The Lady," is used. The cards placed around the key card are then interpreted.

The closer a card is to the key card, the stronger its meaning.

For example, if the "Cloud" card is near the "Knight" card, it is interpreted as a message that will cloud the future.

This method using 36 cards is so profound that it is said even Madame Lenormand herself spent an entire day reading for one person.
