The Royal Blue Overdrive Custom Bluebird Mod is a reinterpretation from the new Mad Professor of the Royal Blue Overdrive Custom, which was produced in limited quantities in 2023 and received rave reviews. The case color of the previous Royal Blue Overdrive Custom indicated the Bluebird Overdrive, a discontinued product that has seen its value reevaluated in recent years. Compared to the regular Royal Blue Overdrive, the "Bluebird Mod" slightly scoops the midrange and strengthens and thickens the bass, maintaining a warm tone while still maintaining clarity and focus, resulting in a sound that is more clearly reminiscent of the Bluebird Overdrive. Each unit is carefully modified by hand by engineers at Mad Professor's factory in Finland.
