Sound creation based on acoustic engineering, psychoacoustics, and spatial acoustics. A new "standard" earphone was born from research into the differences between sound sources produced using 2-channel stereo and sound sources produced using binaural technology. It was widely known that listening to binaurally produced sound sources, such as games and VR, with conventional earphones or headphones can produce a distinctive sense of discomfort in the high frequencies. While acoustic researchers have identified the cause of this, there have yet to be any successful examples of solutions. This time, we have taken a new approach to addressing the issue, resulting in earphones that allow you to experience the tones, spatial imagery, and sense of direction as intended by the creator when listening to binaurally produced sound sources, such as games and VR. The VR3000 for Gaming is the result of extensive research, enabling even more accurate reproduction. The VR3000 for Gaming gaming earphones, focused on spatial expression, were developed based on final's ongoing research into the acoustic physics required for transducers that reproduce the acoustic spatial impression intended by the creator when playing immersive binaural sound* with headphones or earphones. Accurately recreating the "space" of a game or content as intended by the creator promotes immersion. For example, in a dark mission in an FPS game, rather than accentuating the sounds of opponents, players can naturally heighten their reactions by immersing themselves in the world of the game. As a result, players' bodies move with tactile sensation, allowing them to immerse themselves in the world of the game with a sensation similar to that of the real world. *Immersive binaural sound: Binaural sound that enables three-dimensional sound, characterized by sound image positioning and spatial expansion in three dimensions (front/back, left/right, up/down), to be enjoyed with earphones or headphones. Equipped with the completely redesigned "f-Core DU" driver unit, final has redesigned every aspect of the design, components, and production technology. To achieve unparalleled sound quality in this price range, we established a new overseas base and redesigned driver components such as the diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, and adhesives, as well as the production equipment, resulting in the development of the completely redesigned 6mm diameter dynamic driver unit, "f-Core DU." The driver front housing is made of brass, which is less susceptible to magnetic fields than standard aluminum and has a high specific gravity. To improve the diaphragm's time response performance, the voice coil uses an ultra-fine 30μ CCAW wire, and assembly with minimal adhesive minimizes the weight of the moving parts. Furthermore, the diaphragm is carefully pressed in small batches, approximately one-third the size of the usual production, minimizing pressure bias and achieving a uniform, distortion-free diaphragm.
A Customized Fit: The VR3000 for Gaming delivers an even better fit based on the optimal housing design established during the development of the B series. The quality of an earphone's fit is determined by the amount of pressure it provides. While ergonomic and organic shapes, such as those that rely on the resilience of silicone to hold the earphones in place, may seem appropriate at first glance, they place constant pressure on the ear, placing unconscious strain on the ear and causing fatigue. Compared to organic shapes that contact the ear with a large surface, we aimed for a fit without any sense of pressure by limiting the contact area. The VR3000 for Gaming housing provides a stable fit by being held in place at three points. These three points are: one of the pink areas (ear pockets), one green area (earpiece), and one blue area (tragus) in the diagram below. This allows them to fit the ears of many people. Without pressure at any of the contact points, you'll experience the ultimate comfort of earphones, with an exceptional fit that feels like custom-made earphones.
