Set on the uninhabited island of Catan, players build settlements (houses) and develop the entire island from there.
The first player to reach 10 points wins in a development competition against opponents.
Specifically, players build settlements using resources acquired through dice rolls.
When necessary resources are not available, players can exchange resources with opponents. Active communication can give you an advantage in the game.
With rules simple enough for elementary school children to play, yet a definitive board game that adults will also enjoy!
