This is a plastic model kit of the Fine Molds "1/35 Military Series Imperial Japanese Army Type 1 Medium Tank Chi-He."
The Type 1 Medium Tank "Chi-He" was developed as the Imperial Japanese Army's main battle tank, succeeding the Type 97 Medium Tank "Chi-Ha."
Based on the Type 97 Medium Tank, the hull assembly was changed from riveted construction to a more welded construction, and armor thickness was increased from a maximum of 25mm to 50mm.
The engine was also upgraded from 170hp to 240hp, and the Type 1 47mm tank gun was added.
The tracks are made of plastic and are assembled using adhesive, allowing for realistic sag.
The main gun breech is also reproduced.
Seven types of markings are reproduced based on vehicles deployed domestically.
Meticulous research has been carried out and reflected in the kit and instruction manual.
