In her third year of middle school, while everyone around her is focused on studying for entrance exams, she spends her time engrossed in books at the school library and the public library. One day, she discovers the name "Seiji Amasawa" on a library checkout card. This name appears in almost every book she reads. Eventually, Shizuku meets a boy who is determined to go to Italy after graduating from middle school to train as a violin maker. That boy is Seiji Amasawa. While drawn to Seiji, Shizuku is torn by her insecurities and anxieties about her future and her own talents, which all feel uncertain.
