(2023/4/26) For orders placed from 4/27 onwards, the specifications of the cushions have been changed from "two layers of reddish-purple" brocade to "two layers of red and white" (reversible). This small helmet ornament, which is palm-sized and quite heavy, combines Oda Nobunaga's golden helmet with a screen featuring a line from the Kōwaka dance "Atsumori," famous for the line "Life is fifty years..." which Nobunaga was fond of, and evokes the scene before he set out for the Battle of Okehazama. The helmet comes in two variations: a golden helmet (entirely gold) and a famous general's helmet (gold only on the front crest). The inkstone screen (a folding screen used to prevent ink from drying out) is reversible, with "Atsumori" on one side and a "treasure ship" on the other. Both the helmet and the inkstone screen are handcrafted (cast) items made in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, a region famous for its metal casting.
