This leather is carefully tanned with tannins and then undercolored at a leather dyeing and processing facility in Sumida Ward before being embossed with a flower pattern. Skilled artisans then hand-spray the dye onto the leather, then apply white paraffin in a process called "atamahari" (top-hari) to create a three-dimensional effect. The leather will develop a glossy sheen with use, allowing you to enjoy the aging process as the color deepens. Because it is dyed and processed by hand, not by machine, each leather is unique, and this is what makes it so distinctive. [Aftercare] A simple dry wipe is all it takes to maintain its condition.
