The "Oka Dyeing" technique involves painting a white piece with cobalt pigments after firing it first, then firing it again in a kiln at the world's highest temperature of approximately 1,460°C. This allows the pigment to sink into the glaze, creating a unique, deep, deep blue color. This technique shines especially with the world-renowned white porcelain of Okura Pottery.
