[Easy operation for high-precision setting of Polarie U] This is a set of polar axis telescope PF-LII and polar axis arm PU. It is suitable for situations where high precision is required for polar axis setting, such as when taking photographs with telephoto lenses. By aligning Polaris and two nearby stars (a total of three stars) to the designated positions on the built-in scale, you can easily align the polar axis with an accuracy of within 3 arcminutes. (For the Northern Hemisphere. For the Southern Hemisphere, similarly, align using three stars in the Octans constellation.)
[Information consolidated in the built-in scale, comfortable setting while looking through] Because the position information of the stars used for polar axis alignment is consolidated in the built-in scale, it is not possible to set it outside the polar axis telescope as in conventional models. There's no need to read the hour angle scale in a dark observation site. You can comfortably use it while looking through the polar axis telescope's field of view.
[Dark-Field Illumination (with Automatic Shut-off Function)] It features built-in dark-field illumination (red LED) that turns on easily with a single button. Unlike bright-field illumination, which illuminates the field of view to make the scale appear as a silhouette, the scale itself glows red, preventing faint stars from being lost in the background. The brightness is adjustable in 8 steps, allowing you to use it at your preferred brightness. Furthermore, it automatically shuts off after 1-2 minutes (gradually dimming), preventing you from forgetting to turn it off after use.
[Equipped with 3/8-inch Spare Screw Holes] The included polar axis telescope arm PU is equipped with two 3/8-inch spare screw holes. If you don't use the 1/4-3/8-inch conversion screw included with the Polarie U, you can screw it in here for storage, preventing loss.
