PIZZA OF DEATH RECORDS
A Japanese indie label. Its president is Ken Yokoyama of Hi-STANDARD and BBQ CHICKENS.
Founded in 1994 as a label within TOY'S FACTORY to release Hi-STANDARD's album "LAST OF SUNNY DAY."
It continued to release recordings by young bands of the time, such as HUSKING BEE and THUMB, but became a fully independent label with the release of Hi-STANDARD's album "MAKING THE ROAD" in 1999.
With artists including Hi-STANDARD, BBQ CHICKENS, RAZORS EDGE, Ken Yokoyama MEANING, SLANG, SAND, ember, DRADNATS, and UNLIMITS, the music produced by PIZZA OF DEATH RECORDS has had a major influence on Japan's indie scene.
