[Product Overview] Cylindrical aluminum lens hood with a mounting diameter of 67 mm. It is a screw-in installation. The color is black and has an anodized finish. There is also a φ67 mm screw cut inside the hood, so a protective filter can be attached to the inside of the lens. The exterior of the product is only engraved with “67,” which indicates the mounting diameter, and is inconspicuous during installation, and is engraved on the surface side of the lens.
[Product Features] The inside of the hood has been treated with fine grooves to prevent internal reflection. Since a φ67 female screw is cut inside the hood, it is possible to attach a φ67 mm lens protection filter. (Confirmed that there is no vignetting). Also, it is possible to attach a genuine lens cap to the inside of the hood.
Compatible Lenses: Compatible with Canon Canon RF45mm F1.2 STM lenses. It has been confirmed that there is no vignetting when attached to the EOS RP. Other lenses can be attached to lenses with a mounting diameter of φ67 mm. For example, it has been attached to an RF85mm F1.4 L VCM lens or an RF85mm F2 macro IS STM lens, and it has been confirmed that there are no problems such as vignetting. [Precautions for use] Since it is a screw-in installation, it cannot be placed upside down during storage. Installing a lens filter inside a lens hood is intended for applications where protective filters, etc. are not frequently removed. Since the gap between the lens hood and the filter is narrow, it may be difficult to remove the filter after installation. For applications where removal is performed frequently, such as a PL filter or cross filter, we recommend attaching it directly to the lens or using a magnetic accessory ring, etc. (For removal when using the magnetic accessory ring, we also recommend attaching the lens cap to the filter and removing it together with the cap.)
