Brew Justice: Level, evenly distributed grounds are the key first step to achieving the perfect packed basket of fine ground espresso. Twist the 3-leaf clover dial three times to evenly distribute the grounds. Turn the tool over and use the flat-bottom palm tamper. Packing the grounds tightly will allow you to apply just the right amount of pressure and draw out the espresso. The distributor height is adjustable, allowing you to control the depth of your load (*Note - a full basket is required for a tight pack and quality pour. Use the distribution/leveling side to evenly distribute grounds in the portafilter and flip the adjustable tamper side for an even tamp every time. How to use: Process 1 - Fill the Portafilter basket with the desired amount of freshly ground coffee. Process 2 - Retract the distributor end to the shallowest depth and place the distributor blade side into the port filter. Process 3 - Gently rotate the distributor until the coffee grounds are evenly distributed and level. If the distributor cannot reach the coffee, adjust the depth accordingly. Note: There is no need to apply heavy pressure at this stage; just enough to level the coffee in the basket. Step 4 - Turn the distributor over and extend the tamper (flat side) to its maximum height. Press your grounds to the desired pressure. Step 5 - To ensure consistent tamping every time, adjust the tamper depth to match the tamper depth created in step 4.
